I choose to take some time off writing the Armchair QB. I wanted to come up with something different for the offseason. Instead of writing about spring ball, the latest transgressions of NCAA football players, I want to write about what is on my mind these days. Without further adieu, here I go…
FemmeFan Weekly: Texas Longhorns Get Dethroned!
While everyone believed that the number one ranked Texas Longhorns were the favorites to win Saturday night against their rivals number seven ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders, the game did not go according to plan, well, not for the Longhorns. From the start of the first quarter, the Longhorns struggled both on offense and defense. The offense could barely get a first down the entire first half. And while quarterback Colt McCoy tried to keep his team energized and enthused on the sidelines, each time they came onto the field, the Longhorns lacked that fervent attitude that had kept them at the top spot for so long in the BCS standings.
College Football Report: Joe Pa Takes A Tumble
Pretty nondescript weekend in college football, eh? Thursday doesn't count towards the weekend, lads. Yeah, the Big East may have been decided, the Big Two had minor scares, and some old guy got mugged on the Penn State sideline. Oh, wait. That was Joe Pa. My bad. But I will say that had to be the most unintentionally funny moment involving a senior citizen and a collision since Bob Dole lost his battle with gravity in California in 1996...

Heisman Trophy Watch
As I've been saying for weeks now, this year's Heisman winner will be won by one of two QBs, Ohio State's Troy Smith or Notre Dame's Brady Quinn. Quinn has the much better numbers lately but it shouldn't go unnoticed that the Irish haven't exactly faced "Murderers Row"...
